Great and mighty socialist Moscow
The former sovjet “theme park” lies Outside Moscow’s city center, the Ostankino City district.
Called as Moscow Versailles a propagandistic exhibition space initiated by Stalin. It was presenting the achievements of socialism, multinational Soviet agriculture and technology in their designated pavilions.
You can reach the park by the subway, the station VPDN designated for it, and the journey can be folded past the monument to the conquerors of space: it is a 100-meter-high space shuttle.
The monument was built to honor Yuri Gagarin’s space flight. Gagarin was the first person to fly around the country in 1961 as a demonstration of the superiority of socialism.
Today, the exhibition center is a trade show and there is also an amusement park and a marine aquarium with 80 aquariums and 500 species of fish.
